Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is an acclaimed Indian actor, known for her role in the film Beta Saajan and Hum Haiin Koun..! In the 1980s the actress began her acting career, and was popular with the role of Tezaab which she played alongside veteran actor Anil Kapooor. The next time she appeared on the screen was in Dil along with Aamir. In Mumbai, she was raised by middle class parents. At a very young age, she started to learn dance. When she was in her early years when she first started to act as a child actor, the majority of films she created did not succeed. She eventually found success and was one of the top actresses on the Indian film industry. Her marriage led to a hiatus in her professional career. The actress returned in later years. In recent times, she was in a major performance in Gulaab Gang. The film was about struggles faced by women in India. Dixit is nominated in fifteen Filmfare Awards. Of these she's received 8. Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian prize awarded to civilians in India was awarded to Dixit. She is also recognized for her charity work.
